Azalea Technology is currently seeking local contract Web developers (50 mi.
radius around Tyler-TX-75701) with the following education, qualifications, and experience. Contract Web developers work
using their own computer equipment and licensed software on an as-needed basis. Contract Web developers are offered projects
based on a hourly rate, a fixed amount, or by open bidding with other contract Web developers.
- Associate degree in a related field (2-year degree) or equivalent professional experience required
- Minimum two (2) years professional experience in Web design and or Web programming required
- Strong graphic design skills in Adobe® Photoshop, JASC Paintshop Pro, Macromedia® Fireworks, GIMP or similar graphic design product required
- Experience hand-coding HTML, DHTML, XHTML, CSS (i.e. not relying on WYSIWYG editors) required
- Experience coding cross-browser compatible Web sites for major internet browsers such as Microsoft Internet Explorer, Mozilla FireFox, Netscape, etc. required
- Experience coding according to W3C standards (HTML 4.01, XHTML 1.0, CSS 1.0, CSS 2.0, etc.) required
- Experience with one or more client-side scripting technologies including JavaScript, VBScript, etc. required
- Experience with one or more server-side scripting technologies including ASP, ASP.NET, ADO, ADO.NET, PHP, CGI, Perl, VBScript required
- Experience with the object-oriented programming (OOP) paradigm required
- Experience with the model-view-controller (MVC) software development pattern and related MVC frameworks desired, but not required
- Experience with XML technologies such as RSS, XSLT, and SLT is desired, but not required
- Experience with Macromedia® Flash is desired, but not required
- Experience with database technologies such as generic SQL and database platforms such as Microsoft Access, MySQL, SQL Server, or Oracle is desired, but not required
- Experience with Search Engine Optimization (SEO) techniques desired, but not required
